Returning after years away? Or maybe you've never really considered yourself as bendy or flexible enough to try yoga.This is my first of many pop up classes that are likely to be on a Tuesday night at 7pm.  This session is designed to teach you the basics of yoga. We will learn the different poses together, as well as the importance of yoga to us as women navigating our 40s, 50s and 60s. You will get to explore how yoga can feel for you, rather than what what poses should look like. We'll have fun along the way and you'll feel confident knowing how the poses sequence together in a slow flow.My aim is to create a very welcoming, friendly, judgment free space where you can learn and explore how yoga can benefit you. This is not just in the poses themselves, but also how being on your mat can give you that much needed time out, a pause in your day and time to relax, unwind, de-stress and feel rejuventated.As a yoga teacher, natural movement coach and ex-primary school teacher working with women over 40 for over 15 years, I'm here to support you into how yoga can benefit you, on and off the mat. I understand those going through peri-menopause, menopause and beyond. I also understand the pressures of work, caring for children and our parents.This 60-minute session focuses on:Understanding how yoga poses feel for you with alignment cues to help you understand what feels right for your bodyCore strength and joint stabilityWays to improve your balance through poses and breathworkWays to improve your bone densityBreathwork for stress relief and hormone supportBuilding your confidence with yogaReconnecting with yourselfNo experience is necessary. In fact it really doesn't matter if you're not flexible. Just come as you are ready to be curious, explore and feel better in your mind and body.
